How to Keep Crickets Alive
Bought live feeder crickets and want them to last? This is a short care guide for home keepers. Follow the packing notes that came with your order, and call us at 910-694-3025 if something looks wrong on arrival.
1. Unbox and settle them first

- Open the box as soon as it arrives. Move the crickets into a clean, ventilated container with a secure lid.
- Give them 30–60 minutes to settle before feeding your pets.
- If many are still or the pack is crushed, call 910-694-3025 with your order number.
2. Temperature
- Keep them at room temperature, roughly the mid-70s °F. Avoid cold basements, hot cars, and direct sun.
3. Moisture

- Use water gel, damp cotton, or a sponge in a shallow dish. Crickets drown in open water.
- Refresh it daily, and keep the container ventilated so it does not mold.
4. Food

- Offer dry cricket feed or crushed cereal, plus a bit of carrot, potato, or apple.
- Remove soft food that starts to spoil.
5. How long they usually last
- With room temperature, clean moisture, and food, many keepers use a shipment over several days. Results vary.
- Order the next batch before the bin empties.
