Live Delivery Guarantee – Spring / Summer / Fall

Carolina Crickets is a small, family-owned farm, and every order is packed by people who raise these crickets themselves — not a warehouse, not a fulfillment center. We offer fast 1-2 Day shipping with the best shipping rates from our central, mid-Atlantic region, Dunn, NC.

Live Arrival Policy:

While we guarantee the health of our crickets upon departure, transit is a volatile environment outside our direct control. We guarantee that the vast majority of your order will arrive live and healthy. However, we cannot guarantee a 100% survival rate for every individual insect. If you experience a loss exceeding 15%, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery with photos so we can make it right.

  • Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives
  • Any concerns should be reported within 2 business days of delivery

Cold Weather Shipping – From Our Own Experience

We ship throughout the winter because we know how important live feeders are — and this is something we’ve personally experienced ourselves.

When it’s cold, crickets can arrive looking sluggish or even completely still. This does not always mean they are gone.

Before assuming the worst, please try this:

  • Place the crickets in a warm indoor area
  • Give them 1–2 hours to warm up gradually
  • Many times, they are simply cold-stunned from transit and will begin moving again once they warm up

We’ve seen this firsthand many times, especially during winter deliveries.

Shipping & Fulfillment

To ensure your crickets arrive in peak "Gold Standard" condition, we adhere to a strict shipping schedule:

  • Shipping Days: Monday – Wednesday. 
  • Cut-off Time: Orders placed after 10:00 AM will be processed and shipped the following business shipping day.
  • Ordering: You may place your order online 24/7.

Delivery Options

For larger or time-sensitive orders, expedited delivery options are available for an additional charge to help ensure safe, timely arrival.

Local Pick-up

Prefer to stop by the farm? We welcome local pick-ups!

  • Please place your order online, or if you need help, give us a call at 910-694-3025
  • Pick up days are Monday - Wednesday.
  • Orders need to be placed before 10 am and may be picked up the following day at 3 PM.
  • Pickup is ONLY at 3 pm. And we must be made aware by 10 am the previous day. 
  • We have a designated pickup area at our Dunn, NC facility on 212 Bait Rd.
  • Look for the garage entrance on the right, in the first building, when you first turn in.

We ship using UPS, USPS and FEDEX, choosing the option we feel best suits current weather and transit conditions.

Weather & Carrier Delays

Weather delays can occur:

  • At our farm
  • At regional UPS or USPS hubs
  • Anywhere along the shipping route

While we pack carefully and monitor forecasts, delays caused by severe weather or carrier operations are outside of our control. We always appreciate your patience during those situations and will work with you if issues arise.
