Carolina Crickets Live Delivery Guarantee

Shipping Information

Live Delivery Guarantee – Spring / Summer / Fall

Carolina Crickets is a small, family-owned farm, and every order is packed by people who raise these crickets themselves — not a warehouse, not a fulfillment center.

During spring, summer, and fall, we guarantee live delivery of your insect order when shipped under normal weather conditions. If something doesn’t arrive as expected, please reach out — we genuinely want to make it right.

  • Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives
  • Any concerns should be reported within 2 business days of delivery

If there’s an issue, just email Savanna directly at
 carolinacricketfarm@gmail.com

No forms. No tickets. Just a real person on the other end.

Cold Weather Shipping – From Our Own Experience

We ship throughout the winter because we know how important live feeders are — and this is something we’ve personally experienced ourselves.

When it’s cold, crickets can arrive looking sluggish or even completely still. This does not always mean they are gone.

Before assuming the worst, please try this:

  • Place the crickets in a warm indoor area
  • Give them 1–2 hours to warm up gradually
  • Many times, they are simply cold-stunned from transit and will begin moving again once they warm up

We’ve seen this firsthand many times, especially during winter deliveries.

Our Shipping Schedule

To give your crickets the best chance of arriving healthy, we follow a strict shipping schedule:

Shipping Days

  • Orders ship Monday through Wednesday
  • This helps prevent weekend delays that can be hard on live insects

Order Cutoff

  • Orders placed after Wednesday will ship the following week
  • This ensures your crickets are not stuck in transit over the weekend

We ship using UPS and USPS, choosing the option we feel best suits current weather and transit conditions.

Weather & Carrier Delays

Weather delays can occur:

  • At our farm
  • At regional UPS or USPS hubs
  • Anywhere along the shipping route

While we pack carefully and monitor forecasts, delays caused by severe weather or carrier operations are outside of our control. We always appreciate your patience during those situations and will work with you if issues arise.

Ordering From Far Away?

We’re located in North Carolina, and if you’re farther away and concerned about shipping quality, please contact us before placing your order.

We’re happy to:

  • Check weather along your shipping route
  • Talk through timing and carrier options
  • Let you know honestly if it’s a better week to wait

Frequently Asked Questions

How are live crickets shipped?

We ship all live crickets using USPS Priority Mail and UPS services to ensure fast, safe delivery. Each box is carefully packed with proper ventilation, feed, and moisture to keep your crickets healthy during transit.

Do you guarantee live delivery?

Yes! We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee when temperatures are safe for shipping (typically between 40°F and 85°F). If your order arrives with issues, simply send a clear photo within 24 hours of delivery so we can help make it right.

When will my order ship?

Orders are typically packed and shipped Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend delays. Orders placed after Wednesday may ship the following week to protect live insects in transit.

How long does delivery take?

Most shipments arrive in 1–3 business days, depending on your location. You’ll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.

Do you ship during extreme weather?

We monitor temperatures closely. If it’s too hot or cold in your area or along the shipping route, we may delay shipment a day or two to ensure your crickets arrive alive and healthy

Can I choose overnight or express shipping?

Yes — expedited options are available at checkout. If you need your crickets by a specific day, please add a note at checkout or email us so we can do our best to accommodate.

What should I do when my crickets arrive?

Open your box right away and transfer your crickets into a clean, ventilated container with food and water. Avoid leaving them in the shipping box for more than a few hours.

Do you ship to all states?

We currently ship within the continental United States. Unfortunately, we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico due to shipping time restrictions.
